Since this is running on batteries, it's obviously not as hardcore strong as some of the wands out there, but since that's not necessarily everybody's thing anyway I wouldn't consider that a flaw. (The star knock-off is for the "the battery cap can be tricky to work if your hands have issues" because it's one of those annoying "gotta get the little bump into the little groove kind" which I personally think is a design fail for a wand.)
As for actual usage, the first steady speed is probably the best (or at least *my* favorite) of the steady options. It's been described as "nearly rumbly", and I tend to agree. I don't love either of the other two steady settings, because they're both noticeably buzzier both vibe-wise and sound-wise. The last two options are both pulse patterns, and *I* at least liked both but obviously ymmv. Also, this has a silicone head to *start* with, so it's body-safe without needing an attachment. (The actual specs means *most* Magic Wand-sized attachments will fit if you want to experiment, though.)
In general, would rec.
